Frisco Real Estate – Frisco Named #1 Best Place to Live

frisco real estate

Cities around the DFW metro area are always making some kind of list, which goes to show you why Dallas is a popular destination among those looking for a wonderful place to call home. Recently, one city was named the #1 Best Place to Live in the U.S. among cities with a population of 50,000 or more by Money magazine and Realtor.com. Which city grabbed the top honor?

Frisco! Some of the factors taken into consideration to come up with the 2018 Best Places to Live list included cost of living, housing, economic health, public school performance and local amenities. After disqualifying cities with no racial diversity, high crime rates and depressed income, it seems the suburbs are the place to be for those who desire a great community and quality of life.

With a population of more than 177,000, Frisco isn’t what you would call a small town by any stretch of the imagination – but it does have that small town feel for many. The population rose by more than 8% from 2016 to 2017, one indication of just how popular this city truly is.

Why so popular? There are lots of reasons Frisco has become the fastest growing big city. With top-notch schools, new apartments drawing in single career professionals, beautiful single-family homes and a sense of community, Frisco is one of those places that sometimes inexplicably just warms the heart. Of course it doesn’t hurt that it’s the home of the fancy new Dallas Cowboys headquarters! You’ll also find plenty of upscale restaurants and bars at The Star, which also houses a hotel and business offices. Some of the restaurants you’ll find (and the list is growing) at The Star include East Hampton Sandwich Co., Dee Lincoln Prime, Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar, Zaytinya and Ascension, to name a few.

About 28 miles north of Dallas, Frisco is where you can enjoy an enhanced living experience in close proximity of the “Big D.” You don’t have to live in a noisy, bustling city, but it’s fun to visit when you’re in the mood!
