Considering my home’s location, size, and space, what is the highest price my home could sell for? Your home’s location can’t be moved, and adding on rooms when you’re ready to sell really isn’t feasible. Depending on how many bedrooms/baths your home has, total square footage, layout, lot size, and other factors, your agent can help you determine the highest price for your home.

After listing my home on the market for the determined price, how long will it be before I receive an offer? This all depends on whether the price you’ve listed your home for is on the low side, or high side. Naturally, a home that’s priced low will receive offers quickly, sometimes within the first few weeks or even days. On the other end of the spectrum, a home that is priced at the high-end of the scale will take six weeks or longer to get an offer in many cases – and you may expect to reduce the price at some point.

Should you have an open house, and if so, how often? Some agents don’t believe open houses work, while others recommend at least a few initially, or even every weekend. This all depends on where you live and the size of the city or suburb you live in.

Thoroughly discussing every aspect of the sale of your home with your real estate agent is key to successfully selling your home! There was a beautiful cul-de-sac lot backing up to the woods of Joe Pool Lake that we, and many others, wanted but the builder was not releasing it.
