This charming town was chosen based on several factors including number of retirement centers, doctors’ offices and recreation centers for every 1,000 residents, along with the percentage of the population who are seniors. Currently the city’s senior population stands at almost 30%.
With a population of approximately 7,400, Granbury is an historic community that’s not too large and offers a plethora of activities for seniors. Friendly people, perfect weather, bingo on Fridays nights, women’s clubs and beautifully manicured golf courses are just a few of the reasons those of retirement age love living their golden years in Granbury.
