No Reason To Put Off Selling Your Dallas Home This Fall!

selling dallas home in fall

In years past, most people thought that putting their homes on the market in spring was a smart move – and it still is. While spring is the best time to sell a home, you shouldn’t let the fall season or upcoming holidays put you off! As experienced Dallas real estate agents, we know that the last three months of the year can be a great time to sell. Here’s why.

Sure, the kids are back in school and it seems everything has settled down after an activity packed, busy summer. Following the school year beginning, fall soon rolls around and you find yourself preparing for the holidays – Halloween is just around the corner! Then comes Thanksgiving and Christmas. Too busy to put your home on the market, right? Or, it could be that you think buyers are too busy to look, and don’t really want to purchase a home in the final months of the year. My, how things have changed!

Decades ago, those in the market to buy a home in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area had to browse through the newspapers to glean what little bit of information they could, then spend time driving around through neighborhoods looking for homes that were for sale. Today, the process is so much simpler. Considering the Internet and all of the apps designed for Smartphone users, buyers don’t even have to leave their homes until they find a home for sale that meets their criteria! Those looking to buy a Dallas home can relax on the sofa and browse. Nothing could be easier.

Another reason to consider selling your Dallas home in the fall/winter months is that you have less competition. When spring rolls around, you will have tons of competition, which means it will take longer to sell your home. Considering that today many single people, millennial buyers, and baby boomers are in the market for a home, why wait until the competition is stiff?

Even January is a good time to sell, considering the holidays will be over and things are settling down. Regardless, don’t wait until April or May to list your home! Buyers are more likely to see YOUR home when inventory is down – and that’s a good thing.

At Team Nelson, our real estate agents have the experience, knowledge, and skill to help you sell your home quickly, and for a good price. Let us help sell your Dallas area home!
