As Dallas-Ft.Worth real estate professionals, we certainly have bragging rights considering Flower Mound has made so many “top 10” lists over the past few years, it’s almost impossible to count. However, North Texas remains a prime destination for those who desire great employment opportunities, exemplary schools, secure neighborhoods, friendly neighbors, and an enhanced way of living.
According to the article, Money teamed up with Realtor.com to come up with the top 10 best places to live in America this year, and the top 100 overall based by region. In the top 10 best places to live in America, Allen, TX came in at the number 2 spot. Some of the factors used to determine ranking included crime risk, convenience, cost of living, economic factors, housing, education, and recreational/cultural amenities.
Which Texas cities came in as those considered best in the South region? Allen, Grapevine, Wylie, and Bedford. In determining which cities made the list, Money considered locations with a population of between 10,000 and 100,000, and after considering specific data related to the factors mentioned above and interviewing residents, limited the top 100 list to a maximum of four cities per state to ensure geographic diversity. Within the top 15 positions, only one city/town per state was allowed. This explains why North Texas didn’t take 10 of the top 15 spots!
Joking aside, North Texas is a great place to live, as anyone who watches the real estate market in our region knows. Growing job opportunities, rich in culture, stunning homes, easy access to Dallas and the DFW airport, family-friendly, countless amenities for those who lead an active lifestyle – we have it all!
